The Digital Business Card has many advantages and is here to stay

by admin

A new Greek Startup (i-card.gr) is coming to change how we use our NFC business cards and give new perspectives to them.

The central idea is that the card is essentially virtual, by creating a profile on i-card.org and registering our details, a unique QR Code is created, which our customers can ‘scan’ with their mobile phone and the data we have declared. In this step, the customer can save our (digital) card on their mobile phone.

This means that we don’t need to carry real (printed) cards with us and we can print our qr code and place it anywhere. Or simply have it saved on our mobile phone. The card details are updated dynamically  and we don’t have to worry when we need to change some element.

NFC (Near Field Communication) business cards have a number of benefits over traditional paper business cards.

Here are some of the key advantages:

  1. Convenient and easy to use: NFC business cards allow users to quickly and easily share their contact information with others. All that’s required is for the recipient to tap their smartphone against the card, and the contact details will be transferred automatically.
  2. Increased brand awareness: By using NFC technology, businesses can create unique and memorable business cards that help to reinforce their brand identity. NFC business cards can be customized with a company logo or other branding elements, making them stand out from traditional paper cards.
  3. Environmentally friendly: NFC business cards are an eco-friendly alternative to traditional paper business cards. They can be reused indefinitely, reducing the need for paper production and helping to reduce waste.
  4. Enhanced security: NFC technology is more secure than traditional paper business cards. The contact information stored on an NFC business card can be password protected, ensuring that only authorized users can access the information.
  5. Analytics and tracking: With NFC business cards, businesses can track how often their cards are being used and which contacts are interacting with them. This can provide valuable insights into the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and help businesses to improve their marketing strategies.
  6. Cost-effective: While NFC business cards may initially cost more than traditional paper cards, they can be reused indefinitely, making them a cost-effective option over the long term.

Overall, NFC business cards offer a range of benefits that make them an attractive option for businesses looking to make a lasting impression on their clients and customers.
